HUMAS’ serve as a mechanism for students to meet, exchange ideas on the country’s future, our three initial tasks were integrating the Mexican community at Harvard, strengthening Mexico’s presence within Harvard, and increasing the presence of Harvard in Mexico. However, over time HUMAS has broadened its activities due to its great potential as a promoter of Mexico’s strengths and opportunities across the Harvard schools, we extended our objectives to include: 1) an increase in the cooperation with other Harvard organizations, such as Latino oriented groups and other regional groups; 2) an increase of activities with Harvard alumni abroad; 3) to strengthen our internal procedures to become an even more inclusive Association.
